About the Battle

The combined Polish-Lithuanian army destroyed the Teutonic Knights, ending their power in the Baltic. One of the largest medieval battles with perhaps 60,000 combatants. The Grand Master of the Knights was killed. The battle shifted power in Eastern Europe. Still celebrated as a national holiday in Poland.
