About the Battle
The largest chariot battle in history with possibly 6,000 chariots. Ended in a stalemate but produced the first recorded peace treaty in history. Ramses II claimed a great victory, but the Hittites probably won tactically. The treaty survives in both Egyptian and Hittite versions.
