About the Battle
The Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus was killed while leading a cavalry charge. His body was found stripped and with multiple bullet wounds. Sweden won the battle but lost their king. Wallenstein, the Imperial commander, failed to capitalize. Gustavus Adolphus was called the Lion of the North.
