About the Battle
A disastrous Allied campaign to capture Constantinople. Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty, was the architect. ANZAC troops from Australia and New Zealand suffered terribly. The evacuation was actually the most successful part. Churchill was fired and joined the army in the trenches.
